Travelling to Truro

The easiest route to Cornwall is to join the M5 to Exeter. Then take either the A30 over Bodmin Moor or the A38 via Plymouth. For help planning your route use the AA route planner for a tailor made travel plan.

Park for Truro (Postcode for Sat Nav users TR4 9AN)

Our permanent Park and Ride scheme, which is based at Langarth approximately 3 miles from Truro is accessible from the A30 along the A390 heading into Truro. Lanagarth Park has the ability to hold over 1000 cars at the site. Park for Truro has essentially been developed to attract car users to the site in order to reduce congestion in Truro.  

The service operates from 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday. The first bus departs Langarth Park at 7am and the last bus arrives back at 7.10pm. The service will not operate on Sundays or Public Bank Holidays unless advertised otherwise.  

Cost of Travel on the Park and Ride scheme:

  • Day rover ticket £1.80
  • Family day rover £3.60 (max 2 adults plus 4 children ages 5-15, under 5s travel free)
  • 5 day ticket £8.10**
  • 20 day ticket £28.80**
  • 60 day ticket £75.60**
  • Annual permits available on request

Concessionary fares pass holders can travel for £1.00 on the park and ride service after 9.30am Monday to Friday and anytime Saturday . They will need to obtain a ticket from the ticket machine at the site prior to travel . Before 9.30am (Monday to Friday) a regular ticket will have to be purchased from the site. All tickets must be shown to the driver when boarding.

        

Tickets are valid on the day of issue and can be used for any number of trips throughout the day on this service.

Everyone using this service will need to either obtain a day rover ticket from the ticket machines located within the amenity building or a season ticket from the enquiry desk.

*A child must travel as part of a group.

**Do not have to be consecutive days of travel.
