Truro is host to a variety of events all year round. And not only are there great events in the City not far from us you will find coast and countryside full of exciting events.
Truro’s new annual Art Festival is held in April each year for more information please visit www.enjoytruro.co.uk. This is when the city brings together all its creativity with the museum and eleven galleries where everyone gets the chance to experience all ranges of styles and influences of art.

September is a busy month in Truro. It all starts with the City of Truro Carnival which is normally the second Saturday of the month for information on our carnival please check out www.trurocitycarnival.com. This then leads into our music festival which is now entering its third year which pulls together all things musical for a week brimming full of entertainment for all tastes more information on www.enjoytruro.co.uk . And of course we save the best for last in September when Lemon Quay homes the Cornwall Food and Drink festival which is any food lovers haven. The large marquee is full to the seams with locally produced food and drink. Every year it gets better and better with cookery demonstrations by local celebrity chefs and of course plenty of free samples to try. And not forgetting our spectacular Christmas events program starting with City of Lights parade where many communities and schools get together to parade through the City streets with their lanterns made of withy and paper tissue in mid November each year for more information http://www.trurocityoflights.com/. We then move on to a whole array of Christmas events from late night shopping each Wednesday from the last Wednesday in November throughout December to Made in Cornwall Christmas Fairs and not forgetting all our wonderful Christmas concerts held at the Cathedral and Methodist Church throughout December. And to round it off on New Year’s Eve at midnight free fireworks display on Lemon Quay to celebrate an end to the year and the coming of a new.
